Terms of use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the cumula website at cumula.app and any related pages, content, or waitlist signup forms (together, the "Site"). The Site is operated by cumula ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing the Site or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Site and the waitlist
cumula is a pre-launch product. The Site currently exists to share information about cumula and to allow you to join a waitlist for early access. The product itself is not yet available, and the information shown on the Site, including any product previews, screenshots, or feature descriptions, is illustrative and may change before launch.
Joining the waitlist does not create any contract between you and cumula and does not guarantee that you will receive access to the product, or access on any particular date or on any particular terms. Pricing, features, availability, and timing are all subject to change at our discretion.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to use the Site or join the waitlist. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide to us is accurate.
3. Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Submit false, misleading, or someone else's personal information when joining the waitlist;
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or related systems;
- Scrape, copy, or republish content from the Site, other than for personal, non-commercial reference; or
- Use automated tools to submit waitlist entries or other form data.
4. Intellectual property
The Site and all content on it — including text, design, layout, logos, the cumula name and wordmark, illustrations, and product previews — are owned by cumula or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. No other rights are granted by implication.
"cumula" and the cumula logo are trade marks of cumula. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
5. AI-generated and illustrative content
Some content on the Site, including product previews and example focus maps, is illustrative and intended to communicate how cumula is designed to work. It is not a recording of live product output. When cumula launches, the actual product will use artificial intelligence to generate diagnostic questions, focus lists, and revision scaffolding grounded in published UK exam-board GCSE specifications. AI-generated content can be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated. cumula is intended as a revision aid for general educational purposes only — not as a substitute for teaching, tutoring, or professional educational advice, and not affiliated with or endorsed by AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC/Eduqas, CCEA, or any other examination board.
6. Email and communications
By joining the waitlist, you consent to receive emails from us about cumula, including product updates, launch announcements, and related information. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting support@cumula.app. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still need to send you service-related messages (for example, to confirm your unsubscribe request or to notify you of changes to these Terms).
7. Third-party links and services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services (for example, our email signup provider). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Your use of any third-party site or service is governed by that third party's terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, about the Site or its content, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, cumula and its directors, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or the waitlist, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to the Site or these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
